Budapest Sustainability Jam is a face-to-face, high-energy, global design event where you have 48 hours to save the world. It’s part of the Budapest Design Jams which is a series of events promoting service design and bringing together change makers in Budapest.
It’s part of the movement of Global Sustainability Jam which is a worldwide non-profit creative event, where participants build prototype services, products and initiatives around a shared Secret Theme.
On November 21, 2014, people interested in a design-based approach to creativity will meet at locations all over the globe. Everyone is welcome – service designers, product designers, sustainability experts, professors, business people, teachers, hackers. They will have 48 hours to create brand-new real-world services which can make that little difference. Or perhaps a big difference – it’s up to them.
Our sister event, the Budapest Service Jam in March was a real success with almost 40 open-minded jammers as the first Budapest Sustainability Jam in 2013!

Through the weekend, the participants from Budapest will be linked to other jammers all over the globe, working in different ways on different answers to the same challenge, sharing problems, advice, and insights. Our Twin Jam will be Warsaw Sustainability Jam from Poland.
On Sunday at 3pm, every team will publish their results to the world. At the moment 64 jams will participate in Global Sustainability Jam this year! It’s cool, right?
Multidisciplinary teams of 4-6 persons will start to work in the same topic which is right now a secret. (Secret theme from 2013) They will be guided by the mentors and have to opportunity to try the method of Design Thinking during their work with a special focus on prototyping this year.
It’s time to be a jammer come and join the community and get your ticket (3.500 huf) now! We have only 36 spots available and we have the opportunity to make real this event in SAP AppHaus. See you there!
